Description
Drug Interactions:
Salts reduce the absorption of oxytetracycline, and it should not be given with penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones and cycloserine.
Side Effects:
No side effects were reported from using the specified doses.
Withdrawal Period :
Meat: 7 days.
Eggs: 1 day.
Preservation :
Store in a dry and dark place at a temperature not exceeding 25° C.
Indications
Indications :
It contains an effective combination of a broad spectrum antibiotic (oxytetracycline) and vitamins.
The preparation stimulates egg production, increases growth, improves feed conversion, and is used as a source of vitamins during times of illness and stress.
It is effective against infections of the digestive, respiratory and urinary tracts caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline such as Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E.coli, Hemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus in calves, sheep, goats, birds and pigs.
Contraindications:
Allergy to tetracyclines.
Animals that have liver or kidney problems.
Not to be given with penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones, and Cycloserine.
Not to be given to animals with active digestion.
Dosing & Usage
Usage :
It is given orally after mixing it with drinking water or mixed with feed.
Dosing :
Poultry: Prevention: 1 kg /2000 liters of drinking water for 7-5 days.
Treatment: 1 kg /1000 liters of drinking water for 7-5 days.
Calves, sheep and goats: 1g/5kg live weight for 7-5 days.
Note:
Only for small ruminants that do not have effective digestion.
