Description

Drug Interactions :

May interfere with antibacterial agents that kill bacteria such as penicillins
The presence of divalent and trivalent electrolytes in water and feed may reduce the absorption of doxycycline Do not use with antacids and kaolin

Side Effects :

Photosensitivity and may lead to an overgrowth (supra-infection) of fungi and non-susceptible bacteria

Withdrawal Period :

Meat and poultry: 7 days
Calves and lambs: 14 days

Warning:

It should not be given to chickens producing eggs intended for human consumption
It is preferable to consume the drug after dissolving it with water within 12 hours
Not given to large ruminants

Preservation :

Store in a dry and dark place at a temperature not exceeding 25° C

Indications

Indications :

It is used in the treatment of digestive, respiratory and urinary diseases in poultry, calves and lambs resulting from gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, especially in cases of: (chronic colds, bronchitis, sinuses and air sacs, and for the treatment of choriza, coli and arthritis)

Contraindications :

Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines
In cases of liver injury

Dosing & Usage

Usage :

Orally, after dissolving it with drinking water

Dosing :

Poultry: 40 g per 200 liters of drinking water for 4-5 days
Calves and lambs: 1 g per 50 kg of body weight in drinking water for 5-7 days
