Description

Drug Interactions:

It is not recommended to add it to drinking water containing preparations of mineral salts.

Side Effects:

Withdrawal Period :

Meat: 28 days.

Eggs: 7 days.

Preservation :

Store in a dry and dark place at a temperature not exceeding 25° C.

Indications

Indications :

Levostin Gam is used in the treatment of severe bacterial infections and mycoplasma (multifactor) in birds, including mycoplasma disease (CRD CCRD), choriza, Necrotic Enteritis, Cutibacterium and salmonella. Cholera birds and others.

Contraindications:

It should not be given in case of hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, a member of the fluoroquinolone family, or colistin.

Not given to animals suffering from liver or kidney problems.

It is given with tetracyclines, macrolides and telmicosin.

Dosing & Usage

Usage :

It is given orally after mixing it with drinking water.

Dosing :

Poultry: Treatment: 4-8 ml/10 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days or equivalent to 1 ml/10.5 km live weight.

Note: For ruminants: given only to small animals that do not have effective digestion (calves, kids, sheep).

Properties

Levostin preparation includes three compounds. Levofloxacin acts as a broad-spectrum antibacterial and is fast in killing microbes. It works synergistically with colistin and bromhexin in the treatment as a reliever of respiratory symptoms, mucolytic and an expectorant.
